The Prestage Foods project began in 2016 and was completed in 2019. Millennium Concrete placed 517,000 SF of floor slab, 70,000 SF of mudslab, 43,000 SF of slab on deck, 131,000 SF of roof topping slab, and 15,000 LF of interior curb within the state-of-the-art facility. The floors were originally designed with rebar reinforcing and dowel baskets at all the saw cuts. Millennium Concrete proposed converting the original design to a Ductilcrete slab system. By switching to a Ductilcrete slab system all rebar and dowel baskets were eliminated and the profile of the floor slabs were reduced by 1” saving the project both time and money.
